Prostate cancer diagnosis and management have been transformed by unprecedented developments in genomic testing, molecular profiling, and enhanced imaging technology. Ultrasound, MRI, and fusion technologies have improved evaluation and biopsy accuracy that allow therapeutic algorithms to improve individual outcomes and minimize the adverse impact of delayed diagnosis of clinically significant prostate cancers. Treatment with high-frequency ultrasound (HIFU) for certain cancers and specific clinical scenarios, as a result of the aforementioned diagnostic armamentarium, is changing the algorithm for more and more patients.
