Microvascular flow imaging (MVFI) is a relatively new technique allowing better visualization of smaller vessels and slower flow than with color and power Doppler techniques. This lecture will describe color Doppler and gray scale MVFI use and pitfalls as well as artifacts. Numerous clinical examples showing how MVFI can increase diagnostic confidence, and potentially decrease the need for further contrasted imaging.
