The session provides a review of various advanced sonographic vascular techniques that are available for evaluation of tissue perfusion, vascular patency, detection of slow flow, and abnormal flow dynamics. Applications such as contrast-enhanced ultrasound, B-flow ultrasound, Doppler ultrasound, microvascular/ microflow imaging, superb microvascular flow, 3D vascular ultrasound, intravascular ultrasound, photoacoustic imaging, and vascular elastography and their unique utilization will be discussed.
