Learn the WHY, WHAT, and HOW of fetal heart screening, including the 5 essential views. Part 2: Acquiring and Interpreting the Essential Views.

Learning Objectives:

  • Recognize 5 critical domains for assessment of the 4-chamber view (4CV), and acquire standard outflow tract views.
  • Identify specific features of the 4CV that hold clues to cardiac defects, and state the critical features of the anatomy in each outflow view.
  • Recognize the importance of the 3-vessel trachea view for cardiac screening, and identify the critical landmarks of the 3-vessel trachea view.
