Hepatobiliary Disease, Spleen, and Pancreas

This session will provide a tour of hepatic non-cirrhotic pathologies and benign and malignant conditions of the liver and biliary system, including intra and extrahepatic biliary ducts and gallbladder, as well as pathological processes of the spleen discovered and diagnosed with ultrasound. Main management options will also be reviewed.

Learning Objectives:

  • Discuss imaging presentations of various infectious, inflammatory, and neoplastic conditions of the liver, biliary system, gallbladder, pancreas, and spleen.
  • Explain the main diagnostic options and therapeutic management.
  • Determine an algorithmic approach in evaluation of the benign and malignant lesions in the hepatobiliary system, pancreas, and spleen.
