In the setting of an ongoing opioid epidemic, alternative modalities for pain management including ultrasound-guided regional anesthesia have become popular in the Emergency Department (ED). The purpose of this talk is to share experience and explain the steps towards building a successful regional anesthesia practice. We will also discuss how to address the barriers and challenges a program could face during this process.
