This lecture will review basics of histotripsy and how current devices are able to deliver this therapeutic ultrasound technique for clinical treatments. The clinical studies and experience to date will be reviewed along with ongoing clinical trials. Basic science and translational research that stand to impact clinical practice will also be reviewed, particularly in the areas of immunology and anti-coagulation.
