This Abstract/Presentation will make the sonographer more aware of the potential role of diagnostic ultrasound (high frequency transducer - 15MHz-24MHz) as a primary imaging modality for the early diagnosis and ongoing monitoring of select lower extremity, bone stress injuries (Tibia, Fibula, Metatarsals). It will discuss the pertinent pathophysiology and contrast the current imaging modalities that are used to diagnose BSI while highlighting the unique ultrasound findings that are associated with this condition. In addition, a case report will be provided.
