Ultrasound (USS) is a common imaging modality used to diagnose appendicitis. However, ultrasound scan can be operator dependent and when appendix is not visualised on USS, it can create further diagnostic uncertainty. The aim of this study is to identify, if any, other features on ultrasound that can assist in the diagnosis of appendicitis in scans where the appendix is not visualised.
