Is anterior placentation a risk factor for hemorrhage at time of primary cesarean?

Obstetric hemorrhage is the second leading cause of pregnancy-related mortality and although many efforts have been made at improving the management of hemorrhage in the last 2 decades, we propose that additional advancements are made in the prediction of hemorrhage. We hypothesize that anterior placenta is a risk factor for hemorrhage at the time of scheduled cesarean delivery.
