Severity scores have been developed and well-studied for both acne (SOS-Acne) and hidradenitis suppurative (SOS-HS). These scores have certain sonographic findings that clinicians can use to make diagnosis and understanding disease burden, which can help patients receive appropriate treatment in a more expedited fashion. The objective of this presentation of case reports is to help physicians see the utility in adding ultrasound to understand certain dermatological pathology’s in an effort to guide diagnosis, treatment and reduce invasive procedures. We will provide learners with information on which patients could benefit from an ultrasound evaluation and what are the components of the SOS-Acne and SOS-HS scales. We hope that learners will feel comfortable adding ultrasound to their clinical tool box when faced with uncertain dermatological pathology. As POCUS continues to expand so should education to expand clinical applications.
