Pediatric point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS) is a rapidly growing field of interest limited by the lack of ultrasound educators. In our multi-disciplinary pediatric POCUS curriculum, we utilize the expertise of 4 different pediatric specialties to deliver monthly didactics or hands-on scanning to fellowship trainees in pediatric emergency medicine, critical care medicine, and neonatology. This model allowed trainees to learn from a broad range of expertise, reduced the teaching burden of each instructor, and improved cross-department collaboration. Additionally, based on survey data, trainee confidence in areas of procedural guidance and lung ultrasound increased throughout the year. We hope this project demonstrates that a POCUS curriculum is feasible to implement in pediatrics and will help continue to close the gap in pediatric POCUS education.
