Our study proposes a simplified bedside technique for assessing diastolic dysfunction which bypasses the traditional multi-step processes and instead asks users to “eyeball” a brief B-mode ultrasound clip of the parasternal long axis (PSLA) view, focusing on the mitral valve annulus's (LMVA) recoil during early diastole. Visual interpretation of diastolic function using POCUS empowers healthcare providers by providing them with a non-invasive, precise, and dynamic tool for diagnosing, characterizing, and managing a range of cardiopulmonary conditions, ultimately improving patient care and prognosis.
