In the last two years, multiple vendors have introduced advanced visualization algorithms that provide 3D-like rendering of 2D color Doppler images.
This retrospective record-based study aims to evaluate the efficacy of one of these algorithms (Flow Viewer or in short FV) in evaluating the hepatic artery (HA) and portal vein (PV) characteristics in liver transplant recipients by assessing the ability of two separate blinded readers to resolve the HA and PV when in close proximity, level of color containment in vessels, readers’ diagnostic confidence in visualizing the hepatic artery, depiction of aliasing, and the 3D-like visualization by the FV image rendering.
