Those learning ultrasound for the first time should have a clear understanding of gross anatomy, especially in medical education. Considering many students learn ultrasound in clinical skills courses after completion of the foundational sciences, they may have forgotten a large portion of gross anatomy instruction. This project shows that gross anatomy review prior to first time ultrasound instruction may one, give students the appropriate refresher they need, and two, have an easier time learning ultrasound imaging.
