This project explores the feasibility and efficacy of a novel training program to teach ultrasound-guided cyst access and drainage using synthetic cysts in formalin-embalmed cadaver tissue. Participants in this study were allowed to hone their skills and increase their self-confidence through realistic and repeated practice of this procedure in a low stress environment that was free from any potential patient discomfort.
