Lower face neuromodulator treatment remains a challenge for precise toxin placement with frequent side effects of asymmetrical smile. High-frequency ultrasound is well positioned to improve our understanding of this region’s anatomy and to optimize the precision and safety of chemodenervation. We performed ultrasound imaging and anatomy assessment of the lower face in 10 subjects. In this presentation we describe detailed lower face ultrasound anatomy, correlation to external landmarks, and implications for neuromodulator injections.
