This case highlights a complex placenta accreta spectrum with extrusion of the placental tissue through a myometrial defect and extending into the abdominal wall.
This case highlights the interaction between clinical suspicion, transabdominal and transvaginal sonography including color Doppler evaluation of abnormal myometrial and placental vascularity and MRI visualization of the maternal anatomic relationship between the uterus and placenta. This antepartum imaging allowed for optimal intraoperative management including helping to plan the surgical incision
