Dynamic bedside ultrasound is a valuable and easily learned skill for the gynecologic surgeon to assess for organ mobility, adhesions and endometriosis. It does not require a sonographer or special expertise in ultrasound, and can be done in the clinic and the operating room with basic ultrasound equipment. In this film we demonstrate the use of slide tests, both transabdominal and transvaginal for surgical planning for women needing hysterectomy or laparoscopy. We also outline the steps for assessment of ureteral patency.
