Dr. Jessica Schmidt, MD, MPH is an Associate Professor of Emergency Medicine at the University of Wisconsin. She serves as the director of global health in the Department of Emergency Medicine as well as the global health fellowship director. Dr. Schmidt completed medical school at Johns Hopkins, residents at Yale and ultrasound fellowship at Denver Health. She is a former Fulbright scholar where she studied Public Health in Brussels. Her academic focus is on capacity building using ultrasound in acute care settings. She currently partners with physicians in Uganda. She also works in Rwanda and Guatemala.
