John Persinger RDMS, RMSKS, is a registered diagnostic medical sonographer, specializing in musculoskeletal ultrasound, currently employed by the Geneva Foundation to support the Musculoskeletal Injury Rehabilitation Research for Operational Readiness (MIRROR) program with research projects involving MSK ultrasound.
John has been practicing in the field of sonography for over 30 years, having received his ultrasound training in 1987 while serving in the US Army. Since then, he has worked as a staff sonographer, supervisor, and as a clinical education specialist. He is the owner of JP MSK Ultrasound and co-author of the MSK Ultrasound Foundation Series Volume 1: Shoulder Ultrasound: A Handbook to Building Confidence for Performing Musculoskeletal Ultrasound
John holds an appointment as a Research Associate Professor in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Uniformed Services University in Bethesda Maryland.
John is registered through the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARMDS) in abdomen, OB/GYN, and musculoskeletal imaging, and currently serves on the MSKS Item Writing and Development Committee and the MSK Standards and Assessment Committee.
