Yangpei Liu, M.S., is a Ph.D. candidate in Dr. Elisa Konofagou's lab at Columbia University. Yangpei graduated from Duke University in May 2021 with a M.S. degree in Biomedical Engineering. At Duke, he worked in Dr. Kathryn Nightingale's lab and investigated 3D Shear Wave Elasticity Imaging using a 64 by 16 custom matrix array in simulations and phantom experiments. Yangpei also gained a fundamental background in ultrasound histotripsy during his undergraduate at Xi’an Jiaotong University. Yangpei joined Columbia as a PhD student in the fall of 2021. The focus of his current research include harmonic motion imaging (HMI), ultrasound localization microscopy (ULM), and ultrasound-enhanced drug delivery using murine breast cancer models and translating these techniques to the clinic.
