Michael Wang is an Ultrasound Systems Engineer at GE Healthcare with over 10 years of experience in ultrasound research and development in academia and industry. He received his PhD in 2013 from Duke University, Durham, NC, where he worked on development of algorithms and techniques for ultrasound shear wave elastography. Upon completion of his PhD, he joined GE Healthcare, where he worked in collaboration with Mayo Clinic researchers in implementing GE’s first commercial version of shear wave elastography on the LOGIQ E9 system. He currently works with clinical marketing to define product roadmaps, provide technical expertise for customers and clinical research, and collaborate with a global team on technology development. He is a is a co-chair of the QIBA PEQUS committee and works with colleagues across the ultrasound industry, academia, and medicine on standardization of ultrasound technologies.
