Necrotizing Enterocolitis: Common and uncommon findings

Bowel ultrasound plays a crucial role in both the diagnosis and management of necrotizing enterocolitis (NEC). However, it can be a time-consuming procedure that requires technical expertise, especially when assessing pneumatosis. In this lecture, we will explore the benefits of an abbreviated protocol specifically designed to identify high-risk sonographic findings. A mix of interesting ultrasound findings of neonates with NEC will be also reviewed and discussed.
