This talk will discuss the use of transvaginal ultrasound for the evaluation of women with postmenopausal bleeding.

Learning Objectives:

  • Describe the normal appearance of a postmenopausal endometrium and the sonographic standards for its evaluation and exclusion of malignancy.
  • Characterize the usefulness of transvaginal sonography in the triage of women in whom office endometrial sampling was insufficient.
