This session will provide an expert review of the sonographic examination of a patient with liver cirrhosis and advanced techniques that will help to differentiate a healthy liver from compensated cirrhosis or fatty infiltration. A detailed review of elastography and fat quantification techniques and updates in the utilization of these applications in current practice will be discussed.
Learning Objectives:
Describe imaging findings seen in patients with compensated and decompensated liver cirrhosis and common complications.
Discuss elastography and fat quantification scanning technique and current protocols.
Explain updates in the utilization of elastography and fat quantification in the general population in a patient with liver cirrhosis.
