Ultrasound is essential to patient care according to the World Health Organization, but many low-resource countries lack access to equipment and initial and continuing educations for clinicians. In The Gambia in West Africa, one of the poorest countries in the world, is an annual multi-disciplinary, week-long interactive didactic and hands-on POCUS course enough for improvement in knowledge, perceived effectiveness, and able change the way clinicians take care of patients in a high-volume high-acuity setting?
