Cardiopulmonary POCUS in Obstetrics...It's About Time

Ultrasound has been consistently employed to evaluate the fetus in all 3 trimesters. There is another patient, though; the pregnant patient! Rising pregnancy morbidity and mortality secondary to cardiovascular and pulmonary disease require the obstetrical care provider to employ point-of-care clinical assessment that targets the pregnant patient's cardiovascular and pulmonary systems. This is the problem and the solution may be “getting a CLUE” by implementing POCUS.
