Dr. Engberg was a soldier in the U.S. Army where he served as a Green Beret special forces medic. While at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine he was very active in developing the new ultrasound elective. Dr. Engberg graduated from the Virginia Tech Carillon Emergency Medicine Residency Program in 2023. He routinely utilizes clinical ultrasound and regional anesthesia in his clinical practice; he teaches POCUS to junior residents and medical students. Dr. Engberg is an ultrasound fellow at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, NC where he continues to develop his expertise in clinical ultrasound. He will join the Indian Health Services at Gallup Indian Medical Center in August 2024.
