Dr. Elysia Moschos is a full Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, TX. and Medical Director of OBGYN Ultrasound, Women and Infants Specialty Health, at Parkland Hospital in Dallas, TX.
She received her undergraduate degree from Bowdoin College in Brunswick, Maine and attended medical school at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX. She completed her residency in OBGYN at Baylor Medical Center and was then recruited to join the faculty at UT Southwestern.
In an imaging unit predominantly staffed by MFM specialists and Radiologists, Dr. Moschos is the sole generalist OBGYN sonologist in the Parkland OBGYN Sonography Unit, where she has read Gyn and 1st trimester studies for the past 20 years. As a point of reference, for the Fiscal year 2022, the OBGYN ultrasound unit at Parkland conducted over 39,000 studies, approximately 10,000 of which were Gyn and 1st trimester. She has authored over 2 dozen ultrasound articles and is also the author of the Imaging chapter for the textbook Williams Gynecology. She was awarded Senior status by the American Institute of Ultrasound Board of Governors in 2010 as a result of her significant contributions to the field of ultrasound.
