Kenneth B. Bader received a B.S. degree in physics from Grand Valley State University, Allendale, MI, USA in 2005, and M.A. and Ph.D. degrees in physics from the University of Mississippi, Oxford, MS, USA in 2007 and 2011, respectively. He was a postdoctoral fellow under the tutelage of C. K. Holland at the University of Cincinnati, Cincinnati, OH, USA. Currently. Dr. Bader is an Assistant Professor of Radiology at the University of Chicago, Chicago, IL, USA. His research interests include the development and translation of histotripsy, and methods of image guidance for bubble-based therapies.
Dr. Bader is a member of the Acoustical Society of America (ASA), American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine (AIUM), and the American Association of Physicists in Medicine (AAPM). He serves as the Chair of the AIUM Bioeffects Committee and as a member of the Technical Standards Committee for AIUM, a member of the the ultrasound subcommittee for AAPM, and is the former Chair of the Biomedical Acoustics Technical Committee for ASA.
