Hands-On Learning Lab: OB-Focused POCUS

Learning Lab Additional Fee
This educational session focuses on enhancing proficiency in obstetric ultrasound imaging. It will cover the identification and interpretation of common sonographic artifacts, and how to recognize key anatomical features across various ultrasound modes, including M-mode, 2D/B-mode, color, and spectral Doppler. Additionally, the session will provide practical guidance on important obstetric biometric measurements, such as crown-rump length and standard biometry in the second and third trimesters, along with amniotic fluid assessment.

Hands-on Learning Labs offers you the opportunity for hands-on scanning blended with didactic lectures. We generally have a 4:1 ratio at the scanning stations.

$$ Each lab requires a separate registration. To register and attend the interactive Hands-on Learning Lab, please add a Learning Lab as you register for UltraCon 2024. If you wish to add a learning lab to your existing registration, please contact the AIUM office during the hours of 8:00 am to 5:00 pm ET, Monday through Friday at 301-498-4100. Learning Objectives:

  • Review common sonographic artifacts or measurements, identify artifacts that may aid in diagnosis, and recognize sonographic patterns and their implications for diagnosis.
  • Identify and understand various anatomical features in M-mode and 2D/B-mode images, color Doppler, and spectral Doppler.
  • Learn and apply biometric measurements in obstetrics: Crown-rump length, standard biometry in the 2nd/3rd trimester, and amniotic fluid.
