Dr. Timor is widely known for research in Ob/Gyn ultrasound laying the fundamentals of transvaginal ultrasound. He received numerous awards for his work delivering lectures in 25 countries. Published eight books-including the first two books on transvaginal sonography and fetal neurosonography, over 340, reviews and book chapters. His book on US of the fetal brain was translated in 3 languages, its 4th edition was released in January 2023
He is the recipient of the highest awards for his lifetime achievements:

Dr. Timor received his MD from Hebrew University Medical School (Jerusalem, Israel), and completed a fellowship in MFM at Case Western University in Cleveland, Ohio. In 1984 was appointed Associate Professor of Ob?Gynt the Medical School of the Technion in Haifa, Israel. In 1986, he joined the Department of Ob/Gyn at Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center as a Professor of Ob/Gyn. He was appointed as Director of Ob/Gyn at Bnai Zion Hospital between 1993-1995. Following this he returned to Columbia University. From 1998 he was at NYU School of Medicine as Director of Ob/Gyn Ultrasound being appointed as Professor of Ob/Gyn. At the present he received the title Professor of Ob/Gyn at Hackensack Meridian School of Medicine in Hackensack NJ and joined the Ob/Gyn practice of “Maternal Solutions” Hackensack NJy.
Dr. Timor is a member of he SMFM, the ACOG, AIUM, New York Perinatal Society and the Obstetrical Society, the Italian SOGU, The Romanian USS, The New York Gynecological Society, and the ISUOG.
